Nearly every non-Malaysian Honor 3C while installing B320 Emotion UI 3.0 update is encountering the copy_cust error, ending up with no access to Motion controls through Settings. This issue can easily be solved through a small patch that is installed using a custom recovery. A full step-by-step tutorial is provided below.
Rooting the new KitKat based Emotion UI 3.0 update on Honor 3C using one-click tools like VRoot or Kingo Root is totally impossible. Honor 3C and Honor 3X both shipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Emotion UI 2.0 when they got released last year despite the fact that KitKat had already been available in the market for over three months.
