Here’s the new boot animation of Android L extracted from its official Developer Preview factory image that has been made available by Google for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 Wifi devices. This animation has been tested on Xperia Z1, Xperia Z2 and Xperia SP phones and it works perfect. You can download this animation package for your phone using the link below.

Your device should already be rooted in order to install this boot animation. After downloading the aforementioned package, copy it to System/Media directory and carefully set its permissions to “rw– r– r–“.
Technically speaking, this zip file is just bunch of frames divided in several parts that will automatically be rendered by your phone into a boot animation. Once you’ve placed the package in the correct directory, reboot your phone and see how it works. Cool, isn’t it?
