Sony just pushed out a new firmware update (build 11.3.A.3.1) for its Xperia E Dual C1604/C1605 smartphone, only a day after outing a similar update (11.3.A.2.33) for the original Xperia E. Apart from a bunch of minor bug-fixes and performance enhancements, this firmware doesn’t bring anything new – it still carries the same v4.1.1 JellyBean OS. To install this firmware, just download the latest version of Flashtool and flash this package like any other firmware [1. Copy the FTF file to Flashtool’s Firmware folder 2. In Flashtool, choose this FTF file by clicking the Flash button 3. Wait for the cue (popup window) and then connect your phone to the PC via USB cable while holding Volume Down key (make sure the phone is turned off) 4. Wait until the update gets completed and you’ll be good to go!]
Disclaimer: Unless you UNCHECK the userdata.sin file flashing, this firmware will entirely wipe out your apps, contacts, messages and other data present in phone memory. Therefore, do create a complete backup of current system first.
