Sony has officially outed a new firmware update (build 17.1.2.A.0.314) for the LTE variant of its Xperia Z2 smartphone (D6503) in several countries including Thailand, Korea, Russia and Kuwait. There isn’t any changelog for this update yet but users have confirmed that the Android version is still stuck at v4.4.2 KitKat (sorry!)
Complete firmware details and direct download links to this update’s FTF file are given below. Strangely enough, this firmware isn’t getting rooted using the usual methods (Easy Rooting Toolkit, etc.) right now which might be something of a problem for a bunch of users.
