An unofficial test firmware, numbered B520 (V100R001C00B520), has been leaked out online for the Ascend P6 (U06) smartphone in Russia. Although, it’s still based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and EMUI 2.3 it bumps the device’s kernel to version 3.0.8.00795 – evidently implementing several unspecifed changes to its core software.
A handful of users around the world who have managed to lay their hands on the updates report random lags and system freeze after installation of this firmware. Moreover, changes in bootloader may also lead to issues with custom ROMs created for this phone. Therefore, you’re recommended to create a complete system dump before flashing this firmware.
