Sony has rolled out a minor firmware update, build 23.0.A.2.106, for the TD-LTE variant of its Xperia Z3 Compact (D5833) smartphone in Brazil and a few other regions. As the build number suggests, its Android version still sticks with 4.4.4 KitKat and is only intended to add a couple of performance enhancements and bug-fixes for better usability. An unofficial test firmware, numbered B520 (V100R001C00B520), has been leaked out online for the Ascend P6 (U06) smartphone in Russia. Although, it’s still based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and EMUI 2.3 it bumps the device’s kernel to version 3.0.8.00795 – evidently implementing several unspecifed changes to its core software.
