After (unnecessarily) spending months in beta testing the KitKat update, Huawei has finally started the rollout of stable Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based on the cool Emotion UI 3.0 (skipping EMUI 2.3 altogether) in China for Honor 3C (U10/T10/T00), Honor 3X (T00) and Honor 3X Pro (T20) smartphones.
Honor 3C and Honor 3X both shipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Emotion UI 2.0 when they got released last year despite the fact that KitKat had already been available in the market for over three months. However it was still good to see Huawei making efforts in conducting a solid development of the next OS updates for their phones.
We’ve been keeping track of all the developmental builds of KitKat for Honor 3C & 3X from the very beginning. You can see 3C’s log here.

Unfortunately enough, the final EMUI 3.0 KitKat update – Version B256SP01 for Honor 3C & 3C and B259 for Honor 3X Pro – has only been released in China for now and if you ask me it is still going to take several months before this update sees a global rollout (you can flash the Chinese firmware, though, but you’ll have to re-write the IMEI).
As always, we’ll be keeping you up to date with all the future firmware releases by Huawei in both Chinese and international market.
Update – 6/06/2015
