Samsung has officially seeded the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop (build LRX22C.I9500XXUHOA7) update for Galaxy S4 I9500 in Russia via a hefty OTA that weighs in at 1.05 GB. How to Install
- Your Galaxy S4 needs to have Philz Touch recovery (tested on v6.48.4) to restore this backup. You’re also recommended to create a backup of your current apps and data stored in the internal memory.
- Download the Nandroid firmware on your PC and extract the backup folder “2015-01-31.05.01.12_LRX22C.I9500XXUHOA7”.
- Connect your phone to the computer via a USB cable in mass storage mode.
- Copy this folder to Clockworkmod » Backup folder of the external SD Card.
- Reboot your GS4 into Recovery Mode and perform “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” and then “Clean to Install a new ROM” [Optional].
- Return to the homescreen, go to Backup and Restore and choose “Restore from /sdcard” option.
- Wait for the installation and then reboot your device normally.
Don’t forget to share your experience with the update!
