After a few weeks of beta-testing, Huawei has finally released the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for its Mate 7 in Europe. This update is currently being released over the air in Germany but we’ve already posted the OTA Zip package in our previous article. In this post, we’re sharing some noticeable changes that have been reported till now.
What’s New?
1. Optimised UI and Security Updates: This update, numbered B308, offers tons of new security updates and bug-fixes that have been included by Google in v5.1 Lollipop. Moreover, Huawei has also optimised EMUI’s display elements to further improve its fluidity & stability.
2. Multi-Window Support: Now this is awesome. No need to install Xposed Framework anymore! You’ll now be able to stack two app windows on the display at the same time (however, the support is apparently for native apps only).
3. Intelligent Unlock: This feature will allow compatible Bluetooth devices, like the Huawei TalkBand, to unlock the screen when they’re within range.
