How to Update
Note: Make sure you have the Vodafone branded PRA-LX1 variant already running a C02 (Vodafone) based firmware.
1. For devices on Oreo
Step 1. Download the firmware zip package provided above and extract its contents to your PC. You’ll get a folder named ‘Software’ which contains another folder ‘dload’.
Step 2. Copy this dload folder to the top-level directory of your phone’s SD card.
Step 3. Disconnect the USB cable and open the dialer app on your phone.
Step 4. On the dialer, enter *#*#2846579#*#* to open the ProjectMenu.
Step 5. In the menu, go to Software Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade > tap “Ok” to confirm the installation. Your phone will now automatically reboot into recovery mode, flash the new firmware and then reboot into the new system afterwards.
2. For devices on Nougat
Step 1. Download the firmware zip package provided above and extract its contents to your PC. You’ll get a folder named ‘Software’ which contains another folder ‘dload’.
Inside the dload folder, you’ll find:
1. update_sd.zip
2. PRA-L11_vodafone_default folder containing ‘update_sd_PRA-L11_vodafone_default.zip’.
› Extract both these zip files and you’ll get UPDATE.APP & update_PRA-L11_vodafone _default.app respectively.
› Now replace the original update_sd.zip package with the extracted ‘UPDATE.APP’ file and update_sd_PRA-L11_vodafone_default.zip package with ‘update_PRA-L11_vodafone _default.APP’ file.
Step 2. Next, copy this dload folder to the top-level directory of your phone’s SD card.
Your phone will now automatically turn off, enter the recovery mode, install the new update and then reboot into the new system afterwards. You can verify the new firmware version from Settings > About Phone.
