Sony has finally gone live with the global rollout of a new firmware update (version 1.74) for its PlayStation 4 gaming console, aimed at providing a bunch of minor stability improvements for the system software. You can automatically apply this update by navigating to Settings > System Software Update if you’re console is already connected to the internet. Sony just pushed a new firmware update (version 4.60) for its PlayStation 3 gaming console. This update brings some minor bug-fixes, stability improvements and feature enhancements. You can apply this update either using the inbuilt internet update or manually via the direct download links given below.
To update automatically (which is always recommended), navigate through Settings → System Update → Update via Internet and then finally press X when a new update is found. After that, on-screen instructions will appear which will guide you through the rest of the update process. [Read more…]
