[Leak] Download B520 Firmware for Ascend P6-U06 (V100R001C00B520)

An unofficial test firmware, numbered B520 (V100R001C00B520), has been leaked out online for the Ascend P6 (U06) smartphone in Russia. Although, it’s still based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and EMUI 2.3 it bumps the device’s kernel to version 3.0.8.00795 – evidently implementing several unspecifed changes to its core software.

A handful of users around the world who have managed to lay their hands on the updates report random lags and system freeze after installation of this firmware. Moreover, changes in bootloader may also lead to issues with custom ROMs created for this phone.Therefore, you’re recommended to create a complete system dump before flashing this firmware. Download B133SP01 KitKat Firmware for Ascend P7-L10 [V100R001C00B133SP01]

Nearly three weeks after the release of an obscure KitKat firmware (B127SP02) for Ascend P7, an update to that firmware is being pushed out in a few European regions under build number B133SP01 (V100R001C00B133SP01). The Android version still sticks with v4.4.2 KitKat but it does offer some new features like Smart Cover mode, new Sound settings, bug-fixes for native apps, as well as other performance and feature enhancements to improve system stability. Download G901FXXU1ANH5 KitKat Firmware for SM-G901F (Galaxy S5 LTE-A)

Just like the recently-leaked G750FXXU1ANGD KitKat firmware, Samsung has purposively pushed out the stock Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware (build G901FXXU1ANH5) of its yet-unreleased European Galaxy S5 LTE-A (SM-G901F) in United Kingdom and Switzerland, giving us an early peek into the new features the device is going to offer. Well, this may be a surprise for some but we all know that companies can do practically anything these days to hype up their products as much as possible before they actually hit the market. Today, the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware (G750FXXU1ANGD) of SM-G750F – an unannounced Samsung smartphone that is strongly speculated to be the much-rumored Galaxy Mega 2 – has leaked out online.

Next-Generation Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 FHD Tablets Visit FCC; Launching in US Soon

Dell is reportedly prepping the next iterations of its last-year’s Venue 7 & 8 Android tablets, namely Venue 7 2014 edition (T01C) and Venue 8 FHD 2014 (T02D) based on Intel Atom chip with the new Merrifield platform. Both of these tablets showed up earlier last month at Computex 2014, but for some unspecified reason, didn’t get released in Europe on the expected July 1 launch date. This time, however, they have officially got certified by FCC and are tipped for release in the US very soon.
